![]() ![]() Much like my prior spotlight, where I discussed Osamu Dazai’s No Longer Human, the anime adaptation of Kokoro takes a unique spin on Soseki’s classic, adding on content not covered in the book while taking away the original novel’s narrative structure. ![]() It is thus no surprise that his most famous novel Kokoro was chosen in one of Aoi Bungaku’s adaptations in 2009. ![]() Natsume Soseki is commonly regarded as the father of the modern Japanese novel and perhaps the most beloved of all Japanese authors. It will seek to find interesting points of comparison and provide context for the works that are being adapted.
